1. Plug charging connector to charging station Type 2 socket.
2. Turn-on Switch (1) (see picture above) => charging station gets the message “car connected” and locks the connector (if it features plug lock function).
3. Turn-on Switch (2) (see picture above) => immediately after switching on switch (2), charging station gets the message “car ready to charge”.
4.Then charging station energizes its relays/contactors and you have voltage/power on connector’s Schuko outlet.
When you want to stop charging, use the opposite procedure; first turn-off second switch (2) and then first one (1). This will de-energize the connector, unlock the connector at charging station socket and let you pull out the connector.

Charging adapter/ transition from type 2 (Mennekes) to standard socket (schuko) for older electric vehicles, MC cars and the like that can only be charged from a normal socket (mode 1). Also practical if you only have a type 2 connector ad what to connect work tools like a vacuum cleaner. If you have an electric vehicle with a type 1 or type 2 charging connector, mode 3 charging cables must be used.
Note! Charging stations normally lock the type 2 plug while charging. A stop signal must be sent in order to release the plug from the charging station. The key switch does this so you don't have to switch off the power to the charging station to remove the Adapter.
